An Article on The Storming of Bastille.
Yesterday Afternoon a glorious event took place. Together as one force we captured the Bastille and finally showed the first and second estates what we can accomplish. At around 13:30 our army surged into the Bastille and started to fight. Earlier in the day we had seized all of the weapons from the Hotel des Invalides. We were an armed and vicious force to be reckoned with. As the negotiations continued with three of our soldiers making our demands clear inside the fortress we grew increasingly impatient. Governor De Launey tried to fight our demands and drive us down but we refused his offers and continued to wage war on the castle. Eventually, De Launey realized that he could not hold back our mighty force and he opened the gates to the inner courtyard before we took charge and burned the gates down. Soon after the gates were opened we located De Launey and captured him. The battle may have looked like an enormous bloodshed but in reality only 1 enemy was killed and 98 of our brave soldiers passed away as well. When we captured De Launey we dragged him back to the Hotel de Ville and held him there. We did not think De Launey would try to escape but not even 5 minutes after we brought him to the hotel he kicked one of our guards in the groin. In a fit of rage he was stabbed several time until he died. Then we sawed off his head and paraded it around the town on a pike. That will show everyone what happens when you cross us we thought. All in all today was a glorious day of advancement for our fight against the cruel and merciless first and second estates. We will never let up.
